How this affects what we write
It does not. We recommend tools based on whether they are a good fit for the trade and the business, not on what pays us. We point out where a product is weak even when we have an affiliate relationship with it, and we will recommend a tool we earn nothing from when it is the better choice. If a commission ever conflicts with giving you an honest answer, the honest answer wins.
